Bulgaria and Israel to cooperate in the field of Information Technology and Communications

Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications of Bulgaria, Ivaylo Moskovski and the Minister of Communications of Israel, Moshe Kahlon signed an Agreement for cooperation in the field of information technology and communications.
The document defines closer co-operation in the fields of information technology and communications.The plan for cooperation between the ministries of Bulgaria and Israel in the field of IT is the development of the relations in the electronic government, information security, cooperation in the field of information society, management of the radio frequency spectrums and others. The two countries will back the realisation of joint scientific projects and development business relations.
During the second joint government meeting, Bulgarian Transport Minister, Ivaylo Moskovski and his Israeli counterpart, Yisrael Katz signed a series of measures regarding collaboration between the two countries on security issues, including an agreement to heighten security measures for Israeli visitors. The measures come in the aftermath of the July 18 suicide bombing at the Burgas airport, in which five Israeli tourists and their Bulgarian bus driver were killed. The agreements include clauses regarding special training of Bulgarian security personnel who guard tourist sites and buses, exchanges of information on aviation security, and placement of closed-circuit cameras at airports in Bulgaria.
