Danube bridge 2 will be finished by end of week

The last segment of the Danube Bridge 2 will be ready by the end of the week depending on the organization of work of the contractor. This was announced by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski during the official signing of Memorandum of Understanding of the Government of Romania and the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria on setting up an Interministerial Committee for sustainable development of inland waterways transport, on the Romanian - Bulgarian common sector of the Danube. The document was signed today by the Bulgarian transport minister, Ivaylo Moskovski, the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Romania, Ovidiu Loan Silaghi and Bulgarian minister of Regional Development and Public Works, Liliyana Pavlova.
"There are European cities along the Danube, which have five - six bridges over the river, and on the Bulgarian-Romanian common sector there is only one. Soon we will have a second bridge and I hope that as soon as we can we will clear up all technical questions about its management with our Romanian partners” said Minister Moskovski during the event. According to him, the Bulgarian side is ready with the Expert Working Groups who will negotiate for facility management and collaboration, after the Romanian side finishes its’ procedures.
