Minister Ivaylo Moskovski validated postage stamp for the 70th anniversary of the rescue of Bulgarian Jews

Outgoing Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivailo Moskovski validated special postage stamp dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the rescue of Bulgarian Jews. The event was attended by the chairman of the Organization of Jews in Bulgaria Maxim Benvenisti.
"The anniversary is an occasion to go back one more time to the period when the Bulgarian society - intellectuals, parliamentarians, clergy have joined forces to rescue tens of thousands of lives. Saving Jews from deportation to Nazi death camps is evidence of tolerance and willpower of our people'', said Minister Moskovski at the ceremony. According to his words, this is an example that we should not forget.
Today, postal stamp collectors edition is published with a circulation of 20 000 copies, and illustrated cover - 1,538 pcs. Artist of the projects is Nikolay Mladenov.
The ceremony was attended by the Chief of Cabinet of the Prime Minister resigned Rumyana Bachvarova, representatives of the Jewish community, philatelists and media.
