14 Bulgarian IT projects listed best practices in ITU annual report

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has published fourteen Bulgarian projects in the filed of information society in its annual report of best practices http://www.itu.int/pub/S-POL-WSIS.REP-2013. The largest agency to the UN assesses the contribution of Bulgarian initiatives, strategies and projects for the development of information society for a second year in a row. The selected projects are considered best practices and are made popular among the 193 member countries of the Union.
The annual report lists several initiatives of the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications – National Programme “Digital Bulgaria 2015”, National Operational Plan for the Implementation of National Broadband Strategy, “Development of high-speed broadband access in Bulgaria via establishing a critical, protected, secure and reliable public ICT infrastructure” Project , participation in an international project for e-access in Central and Eastern Europe (Internet and digital TV) for the visually impaired.
The Academy of Economics – Svishtov, The University of Plovdiv, the National Revenue Agency, the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism, the Bulgarian Meteorology Institute, the National Statistics Institute and the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy are among the rest of the Bulgarian institutions and organizations that are included in the report. |
