The willingness of carriers to equip the bus fleet with fiscal devices is being analyzed
12.07.2013
A request has been sent to the branch organizations in the field of road transport and to the licensed manufacturers of fiscal devices for ticket sales for providing information of the preparedness for the equipment of the bus fleet with fiscal devices. This was stated by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Danail Papazov, in response to a question from MP Petar Mutafchiev during today's Parliamentary Control.
"Given the short term, there is currently no full information received from all organizations, to which the request has been sent, in order to get an aggregate for the whole country," Minister Papazov said. According to him, from the information provided to date, it appears that most of the carriers have not yet equipped their vehicles, but there is still time before the deadline set out in the Road Transport Act - December 31, 2013.
"According to information received from some of the fiscal devices manufacturers, the market has produced more than 9,000 units, out of which 500 have been sold" said Danail Papazov. He explained that various branch organizations have stated that the introduction of this requirement is to impose a financial burden on bus companies. Danail Papzov added that the topic will be further discussed with the Ministry of Finance. |
