Greetings by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Daniel Papazoff on the occasion of World Post Day - October 9
09.10.2013
Today we celebrate the 139th anniversary of the establishment of the Universal Postal Union and the 134th anniversary of the accession of Bulgaria to it with slogan " The Post - in the service of people and businesses every day."
In 2012 about 55 million letters and parcels were sent and received only at the branches of Bulgarian Posts. These data quantify the importance of the work of postal workers - whether they carry personal messages or important business information.
Postal services are changing, adapting to the new demands of consumers and thus retain their relevance. Innovation, combined with an excellent network of post offices provide postal operators with a competitive advantage in a world where digital and online communications are becoming ever more common in everyday life.
Currently, almost 11 000 people are working at Bulgarian Posts, while private companies have hundreds of employees. Post officers, couriers and tellers to serve customers in the post offices are the face of this great structure. The main capital of any organization are the people who work in it every day. Therefore, it is essential to use the full potential of the system of posts so as to adapt quickly and successfully to the digital world and keep their place in the economy.
Dear Colleagues ,
Congratulations on the occasion of this professional holiday. I wish good health to you and your families! |
