The first postage stamp for 2014 is titled "Winter Olympics in Sochi"

First for 2014 postal-philatelic edition dedicated to the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, was validated today by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Danail Papazov, the General Secretary of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee Belcho Goranov and the Olympic medalist Evgeniya Radanova.
With this postage stamp the Ministry of Transport Information Technology and Communications joins the efforts to worthily performance of their native athletes - Olympic athletes in the forthcoming major sport event, said during the ceremony, Minister Danail Papazov. In his words, the Olympic theme is one of the most preferred in the contemporary Bulgarian Postmark publishing. The first edition has been printed on the occasion of the 8 th Winter Olympics in Squaw Valley in the 1960s Today's postage stamp is 15th on this topic.
Minister Papazov said that the postmark is a wish for the excellent performance of the Bulgarian Olympic athletes in all sports disciplinesThe edition contains a postage stamp with a circulation of 17 000 pcs., illustrated envelope (2802 pcs.) and special postmarks. The artist of the projects is Damyan Damyanov.
The event was attended by members of the parliament, journalists and Philatelists.
Minister Papazov gave collectible copy of the postmark to a media representative, who won the New Year’s lottery of the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications to have the first edition for 2014 |
