The Prime Ministers of Bulgaria and Romania, together with Minister Danail Papazov, validated a stamp for the anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the two countries

The Prime Ministers of Bulgaria and Romania, Plamen Oresharski and Victor Ponta, together with the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Danail Papazov, validated a postage stamp dedicated to the 135 years anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The ceremony was held in the framework of the tripartite meeting of the Prime Ministers of Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia in Ruse.
Our countries have a tradition to mark important events in its history with a postage stamp, said Minister Danail Papazov during the validation. He recalled that in 2006 a joint publication entitled "Bulgaria and Romania - together in the European Union" was put in operation. "The brand that we validate today represents a symbol of friendship between our countries – Danube River suggests that the water boundary does not divide our people, but unites them" the Minister said.
The Postal - philatelic edition consists of a postage stamp and a special stamp. The Artist of the edition is Nenko Atanasov. The circulation of the postage stamp is 14 000 copies.
A new agreement in the field of Information Technology and Communications was signed within the plenary session of the Bulgarian and Romanian governments in Ruse. The document which governs the relations and the cooperation in this field has been since 1995. The agreement signed today covers Public-private partnership, the electronic and postal services, the broadband network and information security as well as the e-governance. |
