Minister Danail Papazov ruled the inspection of school buses by Automobile Administration

Under a ruling by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Danail Papazov, Executive Agency Automobile Administration conducted a specialized technical inspection of school buses.
In the period 1-17 April 2014 the Agency inspectors checked 1228 buses, 1126 drivers and issued 20 tickets, one of them for lack of technical check of the vehicle, and another for worn-out tires. The inspectors also reported violations related to the lack of equipment check certification, of additional qualification certification for the drivers, the non-submission of tahographs, the lack of “Attention, children” sign, a broken mirror and flashers.
The companies performing the transportations were also inspected, as well as the organization that carries out the technical checks of vehicles, the medical examination of drivers, and monitors the drivers’ age, qualifications and violations.
Executive Agency Automobile Administration continues the control of bus and taxi passenger transportations with a view to the forthcoming holidays so as to ensure safe traffic. In the period 30 April – 6 May 2014 the inspections will be concentrated at the places with the largest number of passengers, such as bus and railway stations.
During the Easter holidays the Agency inspectors checked almost 1000 vehicles and issued 29 tickets.
