Dian Dimov appointed new Executive Director of Port Burgas

As of today, the new Executive Director of Port Burgas is Mr. Dian Dimov.
Dian Dimov graduated “Economy and Organization of Water Transport” at the Odessa Engineering Navy Institute, Ukraine. He has had more than 25 years of professional experience at Port Burgas where he has occupied various positions. In 1988, he was appointed Head of “Analyses, statistics and labour” Unit, later in 2003 he became Deputy Head of Bulk Cargos Terminal. In 2009 he was appointed Director of “Exploitation” Directorate at the Port, and in the period 2010 – July 2013 he occupied the post of Executive Director of the Port. When he took the position the Port experienced 13 million lev of losses but later during his terms of office the enterprise improved significantly its financial performance and by mid-2013 it accumulates 5 million lev of revenues.
In the period the Port marks significant increase in cargo handling as in 2011 only it increased by 13 per cent compared to the previous year. In the first six months of 2013, when he occupied the position of Executive Director, almost 80 per cent of the annual cargos were handled.
Since July 2013 the Port’s financial situation has worsened and since the beginning of 2014 it has accumulated only 176 thousand lev.
The main task for the new Executive Director of Port Burgas EAD is to work actively for the improvement of the financial and economic parameters of the enterprise. |
