The appointed concessionaire for Port Nessebar started managing the port

As of today the concessionaire of Nessebar Port Terminal, with a Decision of the Council of Ministers dated 18 December 2012 undertook the management of the port, completing all the conditions and abiding by the procedure for granting concession for a service to Nessebar Port Terminal, part of Burgas public transport port of national significance. The council of Ministers appointed Vidmar DZZD concessionaire of the site.

The Decision of the Council of Ministers to start the procedure and appoint a concessionaire was appealed before the CPC and the SAC. The plea was not considered. The Decision to start the procedure and the Decision to appoint a concessionaire entered into force and thus the Regulations of art. 62, para. 2 and 3 of the Law on Concession were fulfilled, namely the concession contract was signed following the two Decisions entering into force.

On 9 July 2014 the concession contract was signed with the newly established commercial company Vodmar AD, where the stakeholders at joint company Vidmar DZZD own the whole capital in the ration laid in the company contract.

Under the concession contract the concessionaire shall abide by the requirements of the legislation and the requirements set by the competent state authorities on preserving the cultural heritage, as all investment projects shall be agreed under the Spatial Development Act and the Law on Cultural Heritage.

The Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications will monitor the compliance with the concession contract and the execution of the concession program and obligations of the concessionaire.
