Minister Moskovski orders the establishment of a strict organization of the expected increased passenger flow

The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski ordered the Automobile Administration to monitor closely the main road arteries and station areas with respect to the expected intensification of the passengers traveling today. The staff of National Railway Infrastructure Company shall ensure that all waiting halls at railway stations are heated, while Holding BDZ EAD shall provide during the holidays 10 000 additional seats in trains along the busiest lines in the country.
The teams of Executive Agency Automobile Administration are strictly monitoring the areas of the largest stations, airports, cross-border check points and major roads. Worn-out or torn tires are being inspected as well as the breaks, broken windshields and mirrors, lights, and other safety-related malfunctions. The travel and break time of drivers as well as their documents are also checked.
Holding BDZ EAD has provided additional compartments for 45 trains traveling along the main lines in the country. On 4th January some 29 fast trains will be ensured with additional compartments, while on the 5th 16 fast trains will provide extra seats.
Sofia Airport is conducting its regular winter activity. The situation at the airports of Burgas and Varna is also normal.
