Postal stamp on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the University of Forestry

The Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Valery Borissov, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Foods Georgi Kostov and the Deputy Dean of the University of Forestry PhD Peter Zhelev commissioned a postal-philatelic product “Ecology – Forestry in Bulgaria”. It is dedicated to the 90^th anniversary of the establishment of the University of Forestry.

Since its establishment the University has made a name for itself with its high educational standards, said the Deputy |Minister Valery Borissov at the ceremony. An indicator for the level of training is the fact that a lot of graduates from the University of Forestry now participate in the governance of the country, he added.

The product consists of a block stamp, an illustrated envelope and a special seal. The stamp is in circulation of 1509 copies. The artist Tahsin Ahmed has depicted the 20 most common tree species in the Bulgarian forests.
