The thematic plan for issuing postage stamps, postal products and special postage stamps for 2019 was approved by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Rossen Jeliazkov.
The philatelic year will begin with the launch of a post-philatelic edition dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the first self-publishing of the novel Under the Yoke. A postage stamp "Bulgarian folk costumes" is envisaged for a final finish in 2019.
The thematic plan includes several editions on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the Constituent Assembly of the Principality of Bulgaria; the announcement of Sofia as the capital of Bulgaria; the establishment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and of Bulgarian Posts.
A joint edition with Russia on Wine Production and a postcard on bilateral diplomatic relations with Japan are foreseen.
Collectors of postage stamps will be interested in the 50th edition of the Moon's Footprint; Mahatma Gandhi's 150th Birthday; 140 years since Einstein's birth; 450 years since the birth of Caravaggio.
The thematic plan, approved by Minister Rossen Jeliazkov for 2019, was prepared on the basis of proposals from organizations, institutions and individuals selected by the Specialized Expert Council on Martial Arts.
