All the teams of National Railway Infrastructure Company are working in the field to remove the accidents on the railway network caused by heavy snowfall and strong wind.
The movement of trains in the country is carried out in conditions of complicated winter situation.
On the order of the Minister of Transport and Communications Georgi Gvozdeykov from Friday in the National Railway Infrastructure Company an organization for action in complicated winter conditions was created, as all teams and equipment were mobilized.
The main problems on the rail network are caused by fallen trees and power lines on the track and overhead lines.
Since 00.00 h last night, all teams and available equipment have been working in the problem areas in the conditions of strong wind and snowfall to promptly remove the problems and ensure the movement of trains.
To date, more than 30 major accidents have been repaired.
Sections of the railway network are crawled preventively.
At the moment the train traffic is interrupted and the following sections are being restored:
— Slavyanovo — Targovishte — fallen trees and branches;
— Svishtov — Levski — fallen trees and branches;
— Smiadovo — Komunari — fallen trees;
— Dubovo — Tulovo, road 2 — fallen tree;
— Duskotna — Lyulyakovo — broken overhead contact network on 13 interconnectors;
— Tsareva Livada — Tryavna — fallen trees and branches;
— Borovo — Ivanovo — fallen trees and branches;
— Dryanovo — Debelets;
— Pernik Distribution — Exchange — fallen trees and branches;
— Vetovo — Senovo;
— Samuil — Silistra — working snow plough to clear the road.
