Dividing the Road Traffic Act into three separate acts will positively affect road safety, said the Executive Director of EA Road Administration at a seminar on RADAR Project – assessment and measures to reduce road risks of the road safety criterion – A vision for better safety, taking place today and tomorrow in the town of Pravets.
In his words, the new amendments will ensure for the first time a registration regime for vehicle repair shops and the upgrade of the technical inspection system is ongoing. This will improve vehicles’ technical condition, reduce unfair practices and limit fraudulent inspections.
Ranovski pointed out that the level of preparation of new drivers is vital for road safety, thus, a new Drivers’ Act is being developed to regulate all aspects in that respect.
“The joint efforts of institutions and society will provide specific results in combating road accidents and casualties”, added Ranovskli.
