Cybersecurity is one of the most important issues in both defense and civil life. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Andreana Atanasova at the opening of the Sofia Chapter Annual Conference AFCEA on Industry and HiTech for Defense and National Security. In her words, the entry of high technology is important, but it can be both an advantage and a danger.
The Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, as a national competent authority in transport, infrastructure and digital services, also faces the challenge of organizing a reliable and trusted environment in which these sectors can operate, added Andreana Atanasova. She was convinced that good coordination with defense experts would help resolve these issues as most of the technology advances began in the military industry.
