Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technologies and Communications Dimitar Genovski together with the Air Force Commander General Major Tsanko Stoykov validated a postcard dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the legendary aviator Simeon Petrov.

According to him, the professional and leadership qualities of the talented Bulgarian have received great recognition during his training in France. "Because of his courage and resolve to land a successful jet engine, the French Post issued a postcard with his face," said Dimitar Genovski.
The participants in the ceremony also reminded that Simeon Petrov made the first flight in Bulgaria on August 13, 1912, realized the first night flight in the world and performed the first night bombing during the Balkan War.
The postcard, dedicated to Simeon Petrov, is designed by the artist Ventsislav Yordanov. The edition is 985 copies. The validation of a postcard is part of the celebrations in memory of the first Bulgarian graduate flyer, organized by the Bulgarian Aviation Association.
