The Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Dimitar Nedyalkov opened this year's biggest motor show in Europe "Automobile Salon Sofia 2024". He said that with the opening of the 26th Automobile Salon in Bulgaria, our country has established itself as the host of one of the most prestigious events in the automotive industry.
Deputy Minister Dimitar Nedyalkov pointed out that part of the policies of the Ministry of Transport and Communications are related to promoting the use of clean vehicles, as well as limiting the negative impact of transport on the environment and human health. "In order to achieve these goals, we have increased the level of control at the technical inspection stations and limited the possibility of fictitious emission measurements," the Deputy Minister stressed.
Dimitar Nedyalkov pointed out that it is essential to increase the security and safety of road users, and this goal is largely achieved through the implementation of modern safety systems and technologies in vehicles.
The President of Bulgaria (2012-2017) Rosen Plevneliev, Andrey Novakov, Member of the European Parliament and of the Committee on Transport and Tourism, the Manager of Inter Expo Center Ivaylo Ivanov, the Chairman of the Association of Automobile Manufacturers and their Authorized Representatives in Bulgaria Alexander Kostadinov and the Executive Director of the Association Tanya Grueva took part in the official opening.
"The Sofia 2024 Motor Show is organized by the Association of Automobile Manufacturers and their authorized representatives in Bulgaria and will be held from 18 to 27 October at Inter Expo Center. The Motor Show is one of the most important exhibitions and is part of the calendar of the International Organization of Automobile Manufacturers (OICA), which puts it on the level of the most prestigious motor shows in the world, such as those in Paris, Detroit, Tokyo, etc. More than 60 companies and global automotive brands will be represented at the show on a total area of more than 12,000 square meters.
