The Railway Administration Executive Agency has established itself as a guarantor for the sustainable development and safe operation of railway transport. The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications stated this at an event dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the agency.
The areas of competence of RAEA are related to one of the most important aspects in the railway system - the control of transport safety and passenger rights, said Minister Todorov. He added that as a result from the active policy for enhancing the competition, today have been issued licenses for freight transport, and one for passenger transport to 14 companies.
During the event, Minister Georgi Todorov, Deputy Minister Neli Andreeva and the Executive Director of RAEA Veselin Vassilev validated a postcard dedicated to the establishment of the Railway Administration Executive Agency.
The publication joins one of the most beloved topics not only in Bulgarian but also in the world philately. For the stamp collectors, rail transport ranks among the 5th most interesting areas. For the last decade, a railway edition has been dedicated almost every year. The topic has been developed in the Bulgarian stamp publishing since 1930s. The artist of the projects is Stan Partalev. The circulation is 786 pcs.
