The state of the transport sector and the level of implementation of infrastructure and telecommunications projects were discussed by the newly appointed Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Georgi Todorov and the previous Minister Rossen Jeliazkov during the handover in the management of the Ministry.
The sites that are being built with European funding were outlined as the most important areas to work on in the coming months. The activity of BDZ, the road safety and the protection of the interests of the Bulgarian transport industry within the European Union were also identified as priorities.

The newly appointed Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Georgi Todorov has many years of expert and management experience, both in the transport sector and in the field of information technology and communications.
Over the years he has assumed the posts of Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications in three governments, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Information Services AD, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bulgarian Posts AD, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Port of Bоurgas, Member of the Board of Directors of Bulgaria Air EAD.
Georgi Todorov holds a master's degree in law. His professional career includes positions in the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Sofia Municipality and private enterprise.
