Organizing of fair and democratic elections is one of the main priorities of the caretaker government, stated the caretaker Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Hristo Alexiev during the MTITC management handover ceremony. The management of "Information Services" AD, which is within the system of the Ministry will have the task to start immediately the preparation for holding of elections.
Minister Alexiev said that in the next two months he would work actively to preserve the balance and smooth functioning of the transport sector, as well as to accelerate the projects financed with EU funds.
“The situation at the border with Greece is a serious issue that I will scrutinize every day”, said Alexiev. He added that another important task is to carry out continuous monitoring of the state of BDZ so as to evade disturbances in the system of the railway transport.
During the handover ceremony, Minister Ivaylo Moskovski said that he is leaving the sector stable, continuing to seek a solution for repaying the debts of BDZ to the creditors. “I hope that the policy that will follow the caretaker government will not lead to major disruptions and negative results for the national railway undertaking”, said Moskovski. He stated that the caretaker Minister Hristo Alexiev is a good expert who has always worked responsibly and with professionalism. “I wish a success to Minister Alexiev in this difficult task and believe that there will be continuity in policies and his actions”, added Ivaylo Moskovski.
Next week the Minister Alexiev is expected to present the actual tasks and goals in the sectors of Transport, Information technology and Communications.
