Caretaker Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Hristo Alexiev met today with representatives of the Bulgarian Airlines Association.
During the talks the representatives of the industry expressed willingness to be elaborated a strategy to provide guidelines for the development of aviation. They stated their readiness to continue the work of the Advisory Board in the fields of aviation.
Another important issue that was raised by the industry was related to the resolution of the status of the northern areas surrounding the security area of the airport. The representatives said that for some of the properties the ownership and the separation is still unclear, streets and infrastructure are missing. This does not allow there to be encouraged long-term investments in the field of repairs and maintenance of aircraft.
Caretaker Minister Hristo Alexiev extended gratitude to the industry for the active position and stated that actions will be taken, within the competence of the Ministry, to resolve the raised issues.
