The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski awarded Plovdiv Airport officials Georgi Tashev and Kiril Ivanov for the quick response when taking part in the rescue operation of the crew of the military helicopter Mi-17, which crashed on 11 June 2018 in the region of the Plovdiv airport. Hristo Shrionov, the Plovdiv Airport's Executive Director, was also honored for the professionalism and excellent organization in the event of the incident.
Minister Ivaylo Moskovski said he was extremely proud to work with such brave people who, despite the risk, acted promptly and adequately in that situation.
