Using the concession as a mechanism for developing the transport system is one of our priorities, state the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski during today's opening of a new port facility in Bourgas. In his words the provision of state-owned sites for operation by private investors is the best approach for the development of transport companies. "This could be confirmed by the construction of this site, for which the concessionaire of Port Terminal "Bourgas East - 2" “Navibulgar Port Bourgas” has invested 15 million EUR", said Minister Ivaylo Moskovski.
Minister Ivaylo Moskovski added that the state and PE “Port Infrastructure” have envisaged measures and investment amounting to 30 mln. BGN for additional support of the development of Port Bourgas. We expect that these actions will lead to increase of cargo flows and investment in the region”, he also said.
The new facility for unloading and storing of copper concentrate, installed at Port Terminal “Bourgas East-2” will be used by Arubis Bulgaria. It has a capacity of 60,000 tons and is equipped with a fully automated last generation control system. This modern way of handling bulk cargo improves safety and environmental protection. Transportation of copper concentrates from Pirdop to the site is carried out by rail transport.
