The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski discussed with representatives of the coach industry Mobility Package II of the European Commission. The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Anguel Popov, MEP Andrey Novakov, members of the National Assembly.
During the meeting were considered the amendments proposed in Mobility Package II related to the access to the market of passenger coach services. The main goal is to clarify and simplify rules and conditions under which the companies may render national transport services. Liberalization of the international carriage of passengers is proposed by reducing the restrictions on the access of carriers from Member States to domestic coach lines.
Branch organizations engaged to send an opinion within a month to Andrey Novakov, who will present it to the European Parliament in September. An official position of the Bulgarian side will be adopted by the Council of Ministers, as it was the case of Mobility Package I.
