The Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications conducts individual policies towards different types of infrastructure. This was stated by Minister Ivaylo Moskovski, during a meeting with the president of "Citic Group", Wang Jiong and the Chinese business delegation, headed by him.
In this regard, Minister Moskovski added that modernization of road and rail infrastructure is carried out mostly by the use of external sources of funding under the Structural and Cohesion Funds of the European Union. Port and airport infrastructure policy is aimed at attraction of foreign investors and concession granting.
Minister Moskovski acquainted the Chinese delegation to the fact that Bulgaria is the only Member State of the European Union, which is crossed by five different Trans-European Transport Corridors.
At the end of the official part, Mr. Wang Jun voiced the serious intentions of "Citic Group" to invest in Bulgaria, as well as his personal expectations for the start of the collaboration in the near future.
