The Minister of Transport, Information Technologies and Communications Georgi Todorov received an honorary badge for outstanding contribution from the University of Telecommunications and Posts. The award ceremony took place during a solemn ceremony marking the 140th anniversary of the establishment of the educational institution.
"Me and the team of the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications are highly motivated to develop the potential of our country in the field of information technology," said Minister Todorov after receiving the honorary badge. He recalled that a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the two institutions in June this year. "On the one hand, the agreement strengthens the leadership role of the university, and on the other hand, it helps the administration to attract trained staff," he added.
Minister Georgi Todorov stated that even higher-speed connectivity of universities, schools, state and public institutions with the implementation of a project proposal in the field of telecommunications in the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan is envisaged. It involves the large-scale deployment of digital infrastructure along key transport corridors as well as in remote areas.
