Investment in people and human capital development is the key component that drives any successful business model. This was announced by the Minister of Transport and Communications Georgi Gvozdeykov during the official ceremony ‘Investor of the Year 2023’.
Minister Gvozdeykov presented the award in the category ‘Investment in Human Capital’ to Technical Components Bulgaria EOOD The company was established in Vidin and works in the field of electronics, producing components and systems for energy efficient heating and air conditioning.
‘Your company also deserves recognition for the fact that it provides jobs for highly qualified personnel in Northwest Bulgaria and gives a boost to the economic development of this region,’ Georgi Gvozdeykov commented. He stressed that this investment will open 500 new jobs in phases within 3 years. He said the electronics sector generated 11% of the country's exports and 5.7% of its GDP.
Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Dimitar Nedyalkov presented the award in the category ‘Successful Start-up’ to Kelvin Health Inc. The company has created software that will be able to recognize images from a thermal camera and thanks to it everyone will be able to analyze their health. ‘What you have done is remarkable and the proof of that is that you have been approached by a big pharmaceutical company and a big financial investor,’ Deputy Minister Nedyalkov explained.
For the 18th year the Bulgarian Investment Agency organized the Investor of the Year Awards. During the ceremony, the most significant investment projects implemented in 2023 are honoured. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel, ministers, deputy ministers, representatives of the diplomatic corps, MPs and others.
