It is very important to have a close relationship between the state policy in the field of technology and telecommunications and the specialized education that prepares the future experts, stated the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski during the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry and the Higher School of Telecommunications and Posts.
Minister Moskovski told students and teachers that the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications (MTITC) has a program to provide internships for students. According to him, the results are very positive. "Students come with desire and ambition and most of them remain to work in the state administration," the Minister said. In his words, young people appreciate the significance of gaining initial professional experience in a competent team. Over the past three years 45 students have completed internship at MTITC. Almost 20% of them found a job in public administration.
Meanwhile, Minister Moskovski pointed out that private IT companies in Bulgaria are developing very well and that is a good chance for the students to start their careers there.
The rector of the Higher School of Telecommunications and Post prof. Dimitar Radev said that in its 135-years history the educational institution has been preparing personnel for the Ministry in charge of transport and communications. He added that in the recent years develop academic specialties as software engineering.
After the signing of the Memorandum Minister Moskovski examined training halls for students studying under programmes drawn up jointly with major IT companies. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Valery Borissov, Deputy Rector Prof. Rosica Chobanova, teachers and students.
