We expect that by the end of the year will complete the selection of a new vessel to combat oil spills, was stated by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski during the high level meeting on the occasion of the International Black Sea Day - October 31.
The procedure for the selection of equipment of the ship to combat against oil spills is carried out by the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA), as our intentions are to position her in the Bay of Bourgas. Another such vessel in the Black Sea is located in the port of Constanta, Romania, added Minister Moskovski.
Minister Ivaylo Moskovski presented the structures within the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications directly involved in the protection of the environment, to the participants in the international conference, which marks the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Strategic Action Plan for the Black Sea.
Later the Minister visited Morska gara Bourgas and inspected the project on vertical levelling.
