The Black Sea offers great communication opportunities to the benefit of countries even outside its region, said the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Rossen Jeliazkov, at a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Elmar Mammadyarov.
The main point of the discussions was the construction and development of the Persian Gulf – Black Sea multimodal transport corridor. The two ministers shared the idea of organizing an international forum in Varna to include all stakeholders and the business, discuss the proposal among wider range of interested parties and find the most adequate approach for its development.
During the meeting, Minister Jeliazkov noted the positive increase in business and leisure trips following the launch of the regular Baku - Sofia airline. “The number of these trips have doubled, which is a good sign for the development of the bilateral relations”, he further pointed out.
The talks touched upon issues of mutual interest in the field of information technologies and cooperation opportunities.
