Aspiring to continue to be an important player on the global market, the European Union identifies the development of a digital single market as a top priority. Therefore, one of the main tasks of the Bulgarian Presidency is to make it a source of growth and competitiveness, stated the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski during a meeting with the management of the American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union. The House holds meetings with representatives of the government during which they discuss the agenda of the upcoming Bulgarian Presidency of the EU Council.
During the meeting Minister Moskovski presented the program and the priorities in the “Transport” and the “Information Technology and Communications” sectors for the forthcoming EU Presidency. The Minister pointed out that the themes on the Western Balkans and cybersecurity will be leading during the talks in the first half of 2018.
The representatives of the Chamber of Commerce highlighted the readiness of the US companies to invest in Bulgaria. Emphasis was placed on the development of transport systems in the country and the pricing of transport services.
