We are going to work together with the Ministry of Transport of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on preparing cooperation agreements in the field of air and maritime transport. This was announced by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Ivaylo Moskovski after his meeting with the Minister of Transport of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Nabil bin Mohammed Al-Amoudi. Ivaylo Moskovski is in the Kingdom as part of the official delegation headed by Prime Minister Boyko Borissov.
Ministers Moskovski and Nabil bin Mohammed Al-Amudi discussed the draft agreement in the field of air transport. They both expressed a firm position that this document will contribute the relations between the two countries to be strengthened. This will also contribute the air connectivity between Bulgaria and Saudi Arabia to be improved, as well as the flow of passengers and goods to be increased.
Minister Ivaylo Moskovski presented to his counterpart the opportunities for public-private partnerships in the transport infrastructure in Bulgaria, as well as the MTITC’s concession program. The issue of exchange of experiences and good practices in metro construction was also discussed. Minister Moskovski said that it would be a great economic success for Bulgaria if it could attract investors from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the official visit, Minister Moskovski participated in a meeting between the Council of Saudi Chambers and representatives of the Bulgarian business. During the forum, the opportunities for activating the cooperation between business organizations from both countries in the field of information technology and communications were discussed.
