Equal conditions and taxes for railway undertakings will be achieved through joint action by all stakeholders. This is what the Minister of Transport and Communications Nikolay Sabev stated in a framework of a meeting with representatives of the railway sector at the initiative of Deputy Minister Iliya Iliev.
"Legal changes can be implemented after a short period of time, reasoned proposals are discussed by experts in the sector", Minister Sabev said.
In the discussions it became clear that at the beginning of the year a Branch Council was launched, in which trade unions and employers' organizations were invited to participate, and the main goal was to address issues related to railway infrastructure.
The position of the team of the Ministry of Transport and Communications is that any opinion will be taken into account, and the decision for better market conditions will be only in the protection of the public interest. The priority is to have no disadvantaged or privileged carrier, so a change in the form of work is needed and it is important that private companies and state-owned enterprises work in the same direction.
The Ministry of Transport and Communications stressed that the Government's Program includes support for the railway industry, as well as the establishment of centers for accelerated training.
