Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Rossen Jeliazkov checked the progress of the construction and assembly activities of the Congress and Research Center in Burgas. The project is worth 13.6 million leva and is financed with funds from the Port Infrastructure SC. It is expected that it gets completed at the end of this year.
Rossen Jeliazkov visited the Port of Burgas where, together with the Executive Director of the State Operator Dyan Dimov and the Director of the Territorial Directorate of the Maritime Administration EA Alexander Iliev inspected the Agency's readiness and available appliances for conducting active inspections on water of tourist ships and other vessels . Maritime Administration has 5 boats operating in the region of Burgas.
At the Railway Station in Burgas, Minister Jeliazkov met talented Bulgarian children and looked at part of their works. Since last year there is located the branch of the National Academy of Arts, and the first "Summer Academy for Children and Students" is being held. In Store 1, the Minister also took note of the activities of the Tourist Information Center.
Later in the day, Rossen Jeliazkov and the Mayor of Burgas Dimitar Nikolov inspected the work process in the airport traffic tower. More than 200 flights have been serviced for the last day, with the center in Burgas working in full coordination with the centers in Sofia and Varna and to date there are no delays due to the fault of the Bulgarian air traffic control.
The two then spoke with the management and staff of the Air Traffic Services Center, where real-time air traffic management was demonstrated at the height of the summer season.
