Postal services that connect people with letters, telegrams, parcels are evolving, and are currently entering a new technological era - e-commerce, which for decades has passed from postal pigeons to postal drones. This was announced by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Rossen Jeliazkov at a post-philatelic issue validation ceremony dedicated to the 140th anniversary of Bulgarian Posts EAD.
Minister Jeliazkov stressed that the Bulgarian postal administration is one of the first institutions that has been established in liberated Bulgaria and today it is associated with the state. "This is not only a celebration of" Bulgarian Posts ", it is a celebration of Bulgarian post offices," the minister also said.
Rossen Jeliazkov thanked the artist Ralitsa Nikolova for the re-creation of the epoch, when the post offices connected people and delivered good and bad news, especially within our national borders. "Today Bulgarian Posts have correspondent relationships with more than 100 countries on different occasions, but they mostly connect us, Bulgarians," said Minister Jeliazkov. He wished everyone in the industry health and pride of what they do, because they do it for the whole society, and they are grateful for that.
The Anniversary Postage Philatelic Edition consists of a postage stamp in a block that prints out in 5,100 copies and an illustrated card from which 10,705 were issued.
During the ceremony, awards were given to 140 employees of the company.
