Minister Stoyanova and the Ambassador of Ukraine discussed transport links between the two countries

Ukraine is an important partner for Bulgaria in the regional cooperation in the Black Sea region. This was stated by the Minister of Transport and Communications Krasimira Stoyanova during a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Bulgaria H.E. Olesya Ilashchuk.

"Together with all responsible institutions, we are working to facilitate freight transport and find the fastest logistics routes on the country's rail, port, road and river networks," the Transport Minister added. She noted that, together with neighbouring countries, free traffic is ensured to maintain the normal functioning of supply chains to and from Ukraine.

Among the topics of discussion was ensuring the smooth movement of Ukrainian cargo to the EU along the Solidarity Corridors in Bulgaria and the use of road freight permits. Minister Stoyanova explained that the permits for 2025 have already been granted to the Ukrainian side and the unused permits for 2024 are valid until the end of January 2025.
