By order of the Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Iliya Iliev, by the end of January BDZ-Passenger Transport should present an investment program to improve working conditions at railway depots. It is required to include clear and short-term actions.
The measure follows the inspections carried out by Deputy Minister Iliev at Sofia Locomotive Depot and Nadezhda Wagon Depot. On the spot, he found that employees were performing their duties in a poor work environment. According to Iliev, it is inadmissible for the maintenance of the rolling stock to be carried out in a good quality manner in such conditions and urgent actions in this direction are needed.
