The Ministry of Transport and Communications launches a procedure to support intermodal operators, amounting to BGN 34.5 million

The Ministry of Transport and Communications is launching a procedure to support intermodal operators and the development of existing terminals. The total value of the funding is BGN 34.5 million, provided by the Transport Connectivity Programme 2021-2027. The deadline for the submission of project proposals is 26.09.2025.

The aim of the programme is to support combined transport terminal operators by providing funds for the modernisation and expansion of the existing infrastructure. The grant aid for each individual project is between BGN 1.5 and BGN 4 million. The candidates will receive financial support of up to 50 % of the eligible implementation costs from the programme.

The funds are provided for the purchase of new zero-emission shunting equipment, the implementation of modern IT transport management systems, as well as for improvements in the railway and road infrastructure of the terminals. The investments are directed towards all regions in the country, except for the Southwest.
