The new information system for training driver candidates was presented to the industry

The new information system for the digitisation of documents related to theoretical and practical training has been developed in a test mode and was presented today to the sectoral organisations in the sector.

"As I promised at our last meeting in September, the work to develop the system has been completed ahead of schedule. Soon all of you will have access to the app so that you can test its functionalities in a real environment," said Minister of Transport and Communications Krasimira Stoyanova. She stressed that she is counting on the active participation of driving schools to complete the testing process and finalize the information system. "Together with you we will work on cleaning up all the gaps and possible mistakes so that we get a working product that will benefit the industry and the students," Minister Stoyanova added.

It should be recalled that at the beginning of September the amendments to Ordinance 37 and Ordinance 38 were promulgated, related to the training and tests of the candidates for acquiring the driving licence. The most important changes foresee that the training timetable, the training card and the training diary of each trainee will be kept electronically instead of on paper as before. These electronic documents will be accessible to instructors, trainees and the control bodies of the Road Administration Authority. After the testing and implementation of the system is completed, there will be a further 5 month period during which the training centres will be able to keep records both electronically and on paper.
