A new philatelic edition celebrates "15 years from Bulgaria in NATO". There is no other postal administration in the world that has done so much for the Alliance integration as "Bulgarian Posts". This was announced by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Rossen Jeliazkov on the new postage stamp on "15 years from Bulgaria in NATO", which validated with the Deputy Prime Minister for Justice Reform and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva.
He specified that this is the eleventh edition of 1999 to date, with the first mark being dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Alliance's establishment. Minister Jeliazkov pointed out that there is no better allegory for our membership than the ratification of the protocol on the accession of North Macedonia to NATO, which was voted today in the National Assembly.
"There is no better sign than the symbolism, publishing and independent life of the postage stamp, this is important not only for the philatelists, it is also a recognition of the anniversary and of our feeling and pride that we are a worthy member and partner of other states in this Alliance", added the minister.
