The Bulgarian Marque Publishing House has a peculiar alley of glory for the national leaders with the greatest contribution in our history and a special place in it is reserved for Alexander Stamboliiski. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Dimitar Genovski during the validation of a postage stamp, dedicated to 140 years since the birth of the Bulgarian statesman.
Deputy Minister Genovsky recalled that the first postage stamp for Alexander Stamboliyski's personality was printed in 1946 and became a philatelic hit of the decade. The latest edition depicts a fragment of the famous sculpture of the artist Prof. Marko Markov. The image is recreated on the postage stamp of the artist Stilian Naydenov.
The seal was left with the leader of the Bulgarian National Agrarian Union, Nikolay Nenchev, the President of the Union of Philatelists in Bulgaria Spas Panchev, the director of Bulgarian Posts EAD Deyan Douneski. The ceremony also involved followers of the agricultural movement
