Public organisations can apply to the Connecting Europe Facility call for 5G projects. The total budget is €51 million for all EU countries and the deadline for submission of project proposals is 20 February 2024.
The Ministry of Transport and Communications, as the national coordinator for the Connecting Europe Facility for the digital sector, is conducting an extensive information campaign among universities, municipalities, public service providers and operators to help them prepare their projects.
"These funds are an opportunity to develop remote hospital diagnosis and consultation, distance education, product testing in an academic environment, and innovation in many other areas. We urge more Bulgarian participants to join, we provide both institutional and expert support", the Minister of Transport and Communications Georgi Gvozdeykov explained.
The Ministry of Transport and Communications is organising an information day on 29 November with representatives of the European Commission, experts, operators and interested stakeholders to explain the application conditions. More details on registration for the event are published here.
