Two projects to improve young people's digital skills and prepare them for a career in technology will be funded under the Digital Europe programme. The European Commission's assessments have been sent to the Ministry of Transport and Communications as the national coordinator of the programme. The grant agreements are to be signed.
The projects will develop interactive teaching and learning methods, such as summer schools in virtual labs and coding courses. A link will be created between industry, universities and schools to provide the digital skills that businesses expect from job candidates.
The new projects to be funded under the Digital Europe programme are 3 in total, involving 8 Bulgarian organisations. The expected EU grant funding is over €1 million. The competitions were open from 11 May to 26 September 2023.
Among the projects to be supported is the implementation and demonstration of the Common European Reference Framework for energy-saving applications It will provide end-users with useful and user-friendly information on energy savings while strengthening the stability and resilience of electricity networks.
