Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski met with Eamonn Brennan, Director General of the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation EUROCONTROL.
During the visit, the long successful cooperation between Bulgaria and EUROCONTROL and the challenges to the air traffic management related to the constantly growing traffic in Europe were discussed.
Eamonn Brennan praised the contribution of the Bulgarian aviation specialists to the air transport development in the region.
Minister Moskovski noted with great pleasure the recognition of the professionalism of the specialized organizations such as BULATSA and DG CAA and expressed the readiness of the country to further support projects that will contribute to safer and more efficient flight management.
The visit of the EUROCONTROL Director General is indicative of the strategic partnership with Bulgaria on a pan-European scale. Bulgaria is a member of the EUROCONTROL organization since June 1, 1997 and supports the sustainable development policies of the European air traffic management network.
