- conducts and coordinates the activities of the Ministry arising from the implementation of the e-Government Act and its implementing acts;
- studies the information needs and coins policies for the implementation of information systems aimed at administrative activities;
- examines and implements leading information and communication technologies in order to enhance information security and protection against unauthorized access;
- organizes and provides management automatization in the Ministry;
- organizes and ensures the maintenance of the Information and Communications infrastructure of the Ministry;
- ensures the maintenance and functioning of the digital document workflow and electronic certificates;
- keeps records of users (business addresses and passwords);
- coordinates and implements the information exchange with national and departmental information systems;
- consults and trains employees on the use of information systems and application software.
