The European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT) is the European organization for communications, which is also a regional forum for the European Union in this field. The European Commission participates in CEPT in an advisory capacity.
The Republic of Bulgaria has been a member of the SEPT since 1990 when it joined the CEPT Agreement. Now CEPT has 48 members among the European postal and telecommunications administrations.
The European Communication Office (ECO) is the CEPT Secretariat, according to the Convention on the Establishment of a European Communications Office. ECO supports the work of the CEPT Presidency and its three Committees: the Electronic Communications Committee (ECC), the Committee for ITU Policy (Com-ITU) and the European Committee for Postal Regulations (CERP).
Representatives of MTITC regularly participate in the CEPT activities. In July 2017 MTITC hosted a Com-ITU meeting in Sofia.
