The Information Society Forum (WSIS) of the International Telecommunication Union announced a photography competition, in which may participate also Bulgarian authors. The topic of the photographic works must be related to the way in which the information and communication technologies change the world.
Proposals for participation in the competition are accepted from 2 March to 2 May 2017. The authors may send photos of technological projects as well as of persons and organizations that use technologies for a positive change of the world.
The Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Georgi Todorov validated a postage stamp on topic “70 years Bulgarian Civil Aviation and 15 years Bulgarian Airlines Association“.
The Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications will organize a series of events in the field of transport policy and telecommunications, as part of the calendar of the forthcoming Bulgarian Presidency of the EU Council in 2018. The initiatives were proposed after extensive public consultation, including with NGOs and ICT businesses and is due to be agreed with the EU institutions.
Cybersecurity can be maintained through joint efforts and synergy between countries, companies and individuals, stated the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski at the opening of the Third Regional Cybersecurity Forum.
The Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications (MTITC) hosts the Third Regional Cybersecurity Forum. From 29 to 30 November in Sofia will gather over 80 experts from European countries and NGOs, as well as from the European Commission, NATO and the World Bank. Organizers of the prestigious event are the International Telecommunication Union and the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security (ENISA).
Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Valery Borissov and UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova validated a postal-philatelic edition dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Bulgaria's membership in the organization.
Since the mid 20th century until now in Bulgaria have been issued more than 20 stamps on the role of the United Nations and the structures thereto, said at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Valery Borissov. He recalled that the first one was dedicated to the UNESCO building in Paris.
The Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications and the National Association of Municipalities will cooperate in the construction and maintenance of a Single portal for telecommunications networks and physical infrastructure. Deputy Minister Valery Borissov hosted today a meeting on the upcoming interaction regarding the future legal act that will regulate this field.
A postage stamp will mark the first Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The issue is one of the highlights in the thematic plan for postal-philatelic editions in 2017. The document was signed by the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski. Proposals for themes were made by the Special Council on Postage Stamp Issuing which since 1 August to mid-October examined hundreds of proposals for postal-philatelic editions for the next year.
