Using the concession as a mechanism for developing the transport system is one of our priorities, state the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski during today's opening of a new port facility in Bourgas. In his words the provision of state-owned sites for operation by private investors is the best approach for the development of transport companies.

Our main task is to accelerate the work on the implementation of the priorities in the governmental programme. That stated the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moskovski, during the MTITC governance handover ceremony. He said also that he has had the possibility to convince himself in the professionalism of the experts at the Ministry and he will count on their maturity and experience within the realization of the policies in the field of transport, information technology and communications as well as within the solving of difficult tasks.

Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Hristo Alexiev sent a congratulation address on the occasion of the opening of the exposition "Innovation, business and education in transport 2017".

"The introduction of innovative products and solutions is of utmost importance for the development of transport. In the current conditions of globalization, the competitiveness and sustainability of transport companies depend on the ability of companies to adapt to innovation and new market requirements", said Minister Hristo Alexiev.

The success of the technological companies depends on the innovations, and they are closely related to the protection of the intellectual property. That stated the Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Georgi Todorov in the discussion, dedicated to the World day of intellectual property – 26 April.

The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Hristo Alexiev carried out an inspection of the construction works of the overpass, which will connect Terminal 2 of Sofia Airport and "Brussels" Blvd in the capital.

From tomorrow will be introduced a temporary organization of traffic in both directions of the boulevard. The traffic in both directions will be realized along a temporary road lane at the western side of “Brussels” Blvd.

The Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Lubomir Hadjiysky inspected a common training of Sofia Airport and Municipal Directorate Fire Safety and Civil Protection.

The training is three days as today has been performed at the Cargo compartment of Terminal 2. In the training have participated teams of over 30 persons, 8 firefighting vehicles and other equipment.

The per diem rates for international drivers will be paid as per the requirements of the Bulgarian legislation. That became clear after conversations between the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Hristo Alexiev and the Minister of Labor and Social Policy, Galab Donev. Minister Alexiev said that would keep the competitiveness of the Bulgarian drivers on the European markets and would save one of the main sectors in the Bulgarian economy.

There are prepared amendments in the Law on Automobile Transport, by which is proposed the deadline of validity for the taxicab drivers’ authorizations to be extended without sitting an additional exam. That has stated the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Hristo Alexiev during the todays meeting with the taxi industry. He said that in order the proposals to become effective they should be approved after the forming of the National Assembly.

The construction of new railway connections to the industrial facilities was topic of the meeting between the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Hristo Alexiev and the Minister of Economy Teodor Sedlarski.

The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications visited Sofia Locomotive Depot.

During the inspection in the repair base for locomotives and multiple unit trains at “BDZ Passenger Services” Ltd., Minister Alexiev got acquainted with the working conditions and the process of work. He talked to the employees in the depot and got informed about their opinion on the organization of work.

The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Hristo Alexiev ordered the organization of a working meeting for discussing issues related to the bus transport.

The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Hristo Alexiev, received officially an investment intention from the biggest manufacturer of rail rolling stock in the world. Representatives of China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation (CRRC), which is one of the biggest world industrial concerns, presented the intention.

The investment intention contains solutions for common strategic cooperation, which include provision of a package of high technology, financing, investments, training and services.

The investment proposal includes three main points:

Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Hristo Alexiev inspected the new electronic system to control the theoretical exams of applicants for drivers. He visited the regional department of "Road Transport Administration" in Sofia, where today were held the first exams in specially equipped halls. The results indicated that 64 out of 84 applicants have passed successfully.

Revenues of BDZ from entertainment trips may reach 4 million BGN per year, stated the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Hristo Alexiev today during a demonstration journey by steam locomotive to the Cherepish monastery with the participation of Prime Minister Ognian Gerdjikov, ministers and diplomats.

Minister Alexiev added that the idea of this trip is to show to the diplomatic corps, on the eve of the national holiday, the Bulgarian tradition, history, spirituality, because it is important and should be promoted.

Directorate General "Civil Aviation Administration" (DG CAA) obtained a certificate for successfully introducing a system of quality management ISO 9001: 2008.

The certificate was issued by Intertek Bulgaria after a successfully conducted recertification audit of the Quality management system of DG CAA.

“The railway transport is a crucial element of the National Transport System and its development for the integration to the European systems impacts significantly the overall development of the Economy of Republic of Bulgaria“. With these words the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Hristo Alexiev opened a round table with topic “The challenges to the Bulgarian railways for overcoming the crisis – management and development”. The event has taken place today in the Tarde Union Home of the Transport Worker, Sofia.

Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Hristo Alexiev met with Kristian Vaklinov. 22-year-old student at the University of National and World Economy, specialty "Accountancy" is a great friend of the narrow gauge railway Septemvri - Dobrinishte.

The Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Hristo Alexiev performed a check on the Project for a direct road connection between Sofia Airport (Terminal 2) and “Brussels” Blvd. He visited the construction site and inspected the progress of the construction-installation works, as earlier today he has met the Project Contractors.

We are working on a software for improving the control during technical inspections. That stated the Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Georgi Todorov during the todays debate on road safety – “For 100 lives more“, organized by newspaper “24 hours”. During the performance of the technical inspections, the data from the devices will be registered on-line in the central system of the Executive Agency Automobile Administration. Based on the received information, the platform will automatically define the validity of the inspection, said Georgi Todorov.

Caretaker Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Hristo Alexiev made an unexpected inspection at the Central Railway Station in Sofia. He was accompanied by Director General of the "National Railway Company  Infrastructure" (NRIC) Krassimir Papukchiyski.
